Where do we go? Where do I start? I've seen on the hills and the harbours they keep up their armour but ours was lost and discarded from the start Now I can see just what we are We're ones who's dreams and desires get lost in the mire 'cos ours are hearts that can break in a million parts But maybe that's wrong, and just maybe some are better at hiding their scars And maybe this song is me wasting the time I should use getting strong, I know but you know the scene We all have a part It's all over films, in the books that we read, in our history and arts We never truly change the way we are

She said that nothing's easy, so come and see me whenever you need me I said I'd be there weekly if life didn't teach me to go on discretely I'm hearing all the time you gotta play it by design But then that's so far from letting our hearts just get us through tomorrow I heard that all that you know is all that I know, with knowing how to let it go She said for all that you know we're all in the same boat - it all goes where the wind blows Could be stranded on the shore, it don't mean there is nothing more It's just there's some things that only time brings So look onto tomorrow and we'll get us through tomorrow then we'll get us through tomorrow and then we'll get us thought tomorrow

I can only try to make the best out of all in my mind - well maybe in time The dread - you always said - was just the thoughts running round in my head when colours run red But I - I'm losing the light all the time and I can't see where the greys and the blues should be and they bleed and run through the seams Only by the night come the angels to stay by my side, resplendent in white It helps to get away from the colour surround I relate to my funny ways But I - I'm losing the light all the time and I can't see where the greys and the blues should be and they bleed and run through the seams But I - I'm holding it down tonight but I would like to stay down so I can rest now 'Cos in my dreams I stay strong at the seams

about

August 7th 2021 marks a year since released my first bits of music 'officially', so I thought I'd put out this little set of piano tunes I recorded whilst working on my 'Love & Other Fears' EP to round off this first year.

A lot has happened and changed in the past year, so I thought it best not to hang on to bits that sometimes feel like they were recorded a lifetime ago. I write a lot of these short piano tunes, and they're always very personal to me and end up being favourites of mine because they seem to come from nowhere to tell me how I'm feeling at the time of writing. I don't overthink these, hence why they're short songs - once the initial feeling has passed I don't come back to these because they're moments of time and that's how I think they should stay. I hope you can appreciate these as the unfiltered honesty of someone who seems to need music to make any sense of things.
